Just added a whole load of stuff to out Asda shop
with still a few last minute bits to get
We are so late this year, we haven’t even got any decorations up. We’ve just about finished the lounge (or least I will when I get off of here) so hopefully tonight we can get the bits down from the loft.
Harry is ill again, he has a nasty chest infection - close to being pneumonia according to the dr. He’s on anti-b’s so hopefully it’ll settle down soon. He’s fine in himself - still a very noisy and very funny almost 5 year old.
Yesterday I had my Gastroscopy. I was very nervous leading up to it, not for what they were going to do but just the thought of having to have a tube down my throat.
I went to the Shepton Mallet Treatment Center, and they were lovely. I had my BP done (123/77 I think it was) and answered lots of health questions. The dr explained what was going to happen and I could have a choice of sedation or just the throat spray - not a difficult choice!!
I had a canula put in the back of my hand and a guard put in my mouth, then the sedative was given. At the time I knew what was going on, but I didn’t care. It didn’t take long at all, and I don’t remember being put in the recovery area.
Jon and Evie soon joined me and the nurse was very good in seeing how I was and making sure I felt ok. I had some water and sat there feeling like I had a good drinking session
Apparently the dr had talked to me about what they discovered but I don’t remember that now - or at least I have a fuzzy memory of it.
I have a Hiatus Hernia. I have to wait 10 - 14 days to see my GP who will discuss what happens next. I’m actually not getting any symptoms now so as long as I’m careful (I know my triggers) I think it will be bale to manage it myself.
After about an hour I came home. Feeling still woozy and crashed out in the chair while Jon cooked tea (isn’t he fab!?)
I have no lasting effects, and I feel absolutley fine. I certainly wouldn’t be worried about having another one. The Center rang me this morning to see how I was
So back to Christmas! I have to get off here and finish the painting and tidying!! I want the tree up!!!
