Day 1

Feeling positive but hungry :haha

I’m not hungry but all this thinking about food just makes me want more. I had fruit for brekkie and 3 wholemeal rolls with Dairylea and Marmite. Not going to have anything else just now if I can help it.  Got potatoes, veg and probably Quorn sausages for tea - the gravy will come from my syns. I think the real test will be later on as we’re kinda used to picking in the evening, especially sitting here I can’t help it :roll

The house is quiet and I’m going to put my feet up in a sec and watch some trashy tv. Jon has taken the kids to Argos to get a couple of Peppa Pig bits for Evie’s 2nd birthday on monday. She has quite a bit, in fact we discovered some bits in the loft that we’d bought during the year so they they will do for Christmas :hehe

Have spent the morning testing a script out for someone, couldnt get it to work 100% though. Yesterday I spent a few hours going through all my domain names, making sure the contact info was right and then pointing the aliases to the main url. I have sooooo many names now :red  I feel the urge coming on :hehe

Right I’m off before they come home, I want at least a few mins peace with my feet up :hehe

Well the x-ray ddn’t show anything unusal which I’m not really surprised about. I’m still a little worried though in that it could be starting, or already started and they just aren’t experienced enough to spot it :sigh

Chaz is a bit better today, he had a better night’s sleep with a pillow between his legs. I kept him off school - they finish today for half term anyway and I figure that sitting on hard chairs all day isn’t going to help.

The dr said to go back if it continues which I will do but I’ll also ring SGH and ask if he can be seen there, by people who know their stuff.

Jamie has been down to see his tutor and there is no problem with him returning next year so that’s good. Hopefully he’ll knuckle down and get some money together and get more focused.

Perthes Worry

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Last night Charlie complained of leg pain, nothing unusual in a growing 6 year old but he woke up twice in the night crying because it was hurting him. When asked he pointed to his groin area and down his left leg.

I checked him this morning doing the movements that the Drs used to do when examining Jamie, Charlie found them too painful and had virtually no flexibility :(

We saw Dr Fox who referred us onto Yeovil for an x-ray. The radiographer couldn’t see anything obvious but was getting a bigwig to check it and Dr Fox will ring for the results tomrrow.

Hopefully it’ll end up being of no real concern but with our family history its very worrying.  If they say they couldn’t see anything on the x-ray I know I’m not going to feel 100% ok with that. Perthes can be hard to spot but also it can be painful before anything actually shows on an x-ray. How will I know if the radiographers have experience of it?  Will have to see what tomorrow brings but I think I’ll ask about a second opinion and maybe ring Prof Clarke’s secretary and see if he is able to get an appt at the clinic at SGH.

At least it half term next week so he can rest and not have hard chairs to sit on.

Ohhh also Charlie is going to be in the school nativity play!  He’s playing King 1 and has a few lines to learn. I’m so surprised that he’s agreeing to do although I don’t know if he fully understands that there will be lots of people watching!

And on another note, Jamie has decided to leave college. He’s not enjoying his course so he’s planning on working until next Sept where he will (hopefully) start a new course.  Hmmm we shall see!

A Good Day Today

Sad though that its measured in housework :roll Yesterday I didn’t feel like doing anything so hardly anything got done. Today I’ve been all through the house bar the hall.

I’ve decided to give Slimming World a bash, tbh I’m a bit bored with WW and kinda lost my motivation. I know it started with my stomach probs flaring up again but now that’s died down again I’m struggling to get back on it. I did some reading and investigations and SW looks like it might be for me afterall. Now its getting colder stirfries are less appealing and baked potatoes are the way ahead :hehe Not to mention unlimited rice and pasta - gulp sounds scary as I do love a big portion :hehe

Got a starter pack on the way and I know the highly secret password for the website so off I go!

Eeeuwwww

Sunday, October 19th, 2008
I caught Brian outside eating something so when he came in for his tea I went out to look and as I had just my socks on, sort of walked on my toes. I felt something soft under my heel so didn’t put my weight down and jumped over it. I just got Jon to look outside (its dark) and its a mouse :yuk
Thank god I missed it with my toes *shudder*
Roz and Dave came up today, Evie spent the first 15 mins or so crying :haha
Nice to catch up with the gossip.
We were planning on getting back on our diet today but that went out the window with veggie samosas and onion bhajis :hehe
Plan on getting back on the Wii Fit too, haven’t done any for ages :sigh Will report back on what it tells me :roll

Hurrah!
